Fruities is a unofficial twitch stream team dedicated to uplifting LGBTQIA creators and conversation. Members of the team are driven on creating safe and inclusive spaces on twitch. We are passionate about bringing awareness and education about LGBTQIA topics.Our team mascot is a fruit bat with progress flag wings on the inside. This represents many of the queer community who may be hiding or masking. Like the bat, we may like to stay in the dark, may not be very colorful on the outside but when we feel safe, we show our wings.The A in LGBTQIA stands for asexual, aromantic and agenders. We recognize the A does not stand for Ally. However, Fruities welcomes strong allies. There are folks who are queer themselves but don't feel queer enough in queer spaces, or they may not want to disclose their identity for their safety and will still address themselves as an ally or have no label at all. For the same reasons allies are welcome at pride events, allies are welcome in the Fruities team. Strong allies could have a family member who is LGBTQIA, or they could be dating/married to someone who is LGBT. Allies are in our community to learn, support and educate others.Applications are open! ⬇
